JINJER - On The Top

“Have you ever felt like a rat in a rat race? It seems like the world is spinning faster and faster every single day and everyone is going crazy searching for this thing called success. However, we tend to forget that real happiness has nothing to do with it- not a career, achievements, money etc. Is it really worth climbing up the ladder just to be ON to the TOP if there is nothing or no one there for you in the end? It's OK to want to be the best you can possibly be but just remember that success has its price but it's up to you to decide how much you are willing to pay for it. It’s your choice to make but your burden to bare …” - Jinjer

THE 69 EYES - Burn Witch Burn

Last month, the Helsinki Vampires THE 69 EYES released their 30-year-anniversary album 'West End', and immediately hit #1 in the Finnish charts. With plenty of tour dates in Europe and the USA at the horizon, the band is getting ready for the Halloween season and so should you - it's time to let the witches burn!

”BURN WITCH BURN is a vivid goth rocker before Halloween but also a commentary of the current spirit. Read a book, go out and meet friends. Don’t let the 'mirror-mirror on the wall' rule your world!” muses THE 69 EYES' October-born singer Jyrki.

Slave - Marisa And The Moths

'Slave' continues MARISA AND THE MOTHS' hard-hitting introduction, a band who bring to mind the best hard rock and grunge bands of the 90s. Triple guitar duties are shared between frontwoman and vocalist Marisa Rodriguez, Chris Merton, and Sophie Lloyd. Sophie in her own right is a well-regarded guitarist, with over 230,000 YouTube subscribers, 50,000 Facebook fans and 127,000 Instagram followers.

For fans of Halestorm, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, MARISA AND THE MOTHS deliver a deeply personal sound, detailing Marisa’s struggles with anxiety and everyday sexism amongst other themes. The music is the perfect vehicle for Marisa’s voice, soulful and powerful, as well as Sophie's eye-popping guitar skills.

Gideon - 2 Close (ft. Drew York)

The members of Gideon have encountered a myriad of cultures while touring the world in support of their music. These opportunities led to the realisation that open-mindedness and acceptance are important aspects of developing your own perspective. As a result, they’ve grown away from their roots as a 'Christian Metalcore' band and through their last three records this transition becomes apparent. On 2014’s 'Calloused' the band offered glimpses into their internal struggle with being a 'Christian' band. By the release of 'Cold' in 2017, they emerged more bitter and aggressive; defiant in the face of expectations. Finally, 'Out of Control' finds the band breaking free of all previous restraints as they craft a diverse record unlike anything they’ve ever released.

Öxxö Xööx "Lëïth Säë" - "Ÿ"

Featuring the songwriting, instrumentation and vocals of the titular Öxxö Xööx (Laurent Lunoir, ex-Whourkr), the operatic treasure Rïcïnn [Laure Le Prunenec of Corpo-Mente and Igorrr], and live drummer Isarnos (Thomas Jacquelin), Ÿ also sees guest synth guitar processing by cyber metal star Master Boot Record.

Ÿ opens with the solemn dirge of what sounds like a funeral. Dripping with beauty and melancholic doom, it gives way to bell-like organs before plodding drums build to a gothic assault. The album continues to shift rapidly from gorgeous, haunting laments to utter desperation and unhinged mania as the 78 minute journey spirals deeper and deeper into the maze of its own machinations and enigmas.

Tokyo Taboo - Whiskey

Composed of the feisty and ferocious pair Dolly Daggerz and Mickey Danger, the Londoner’s debut album, 6th Street Psychosis, brought them acclaim from the likes of Radio X’s John Kennedy, BBC Radio 1, Planet Rock, Clash and Punktastic. The duo have been hard at work on their upcoming album, recorded in California by Noah Shain (whose most recent production Badflower’s ‘Ghost’ recently occupied the Number 1 spot in the US rock chart). Their second album showcases how diligently the band have honed their sound since their debut, developing musical layers and refining production to create something utterly unique.
