Wacken 2019 has literally just finished and the return of the open air festival in 2020 is already going to be a hell of a party!

Wacken Open Air Festival released a statement yesterday, 5th August 2019, in shock that tickets had been purchased so quickly. “all 75.000 tickets are gone! Thank you for your incredible loyalty, and the faith you put in us!” The news comes just hours after Wacken 2019 saw metal fans from all over the world come to watch artists such as Sabaton, Parkway Drive, Powerwolf, Airbourne, Meshuggah, Slayer, Crazy Lixx, Anthrax, Avatar and more.

Organisers released a full statement regarding their incredible ticket sales.

The festival sold over 50K tickets within hours of releasing them to the general public and issues warnings shortly after about low ticket availability.

The 31st Wacken Open Air Festival will include Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Sick Of It All, Venom, and Death Angel, with more bands to be announced.
