Rammstein has issued an official statement to fans regarding their upcoming stadium tour that is set to take place this year, starting in May at the Wörthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt, Austria.
Rammstein has said they are “in close contact” with event organisers and are currently “monitor the situation in the individual countries” as to the possibility of the tour going ahead or being cancelled. As it stands, most tours set to take place starting in April and May have either been cancelled or rescheduled for later in the year. Some events, such as Download Festival, UK has already been set back a full year with 2020 being cancelled.
Whilst Rammstein are fully aware they may have to cancel or reschedule dates, the band has asked fans for “a little patience and understanding” whilst they watch the situation unfold. Rammstein has stadium shows set to take place in Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Norway, and other countries. The United Kingdom has seen a rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 related deaths in recent days after the country failed to implement strict confinement measures to contain the spread of the virus.
Two weeks ago, Rammstein singer Till Lindemann, was admitted to an intensive care unit in Berlin, suspected to have contracted the highly contagious coronavirus. He spent one night in ICU but thankfully tested negative for the disease.

“We monitor the situation in the individual countries very closely and are in close contact with the band's local partners. As soon as there is binding information, it will be passed on to everyone who has a ticket for the upcoming shows. Until then, we ask for a little patience and understanding.”
