The 17th October 2018 marked a very significant step forward in the eyes of many as Canada became the second country in the world to legalize Cannabis. Not only did the country decriminalize the plant, but the government also gave a pardon to anyone citizen that had previously been convicted of cannabis possession, if that possession was less than 30 grams.

Many media outlets were flooded with videos of Canadians lighting up in the street and celebrating the historic moment.

Recently, a video surfaced on Instagram of a Canadian citizen handing out free joints to the public, even having a little chat to a police officer about the topic.

Jack Denmo, known as jdenmo on the social network platform, can be seen freely walking the streets of Canada and legally handing out free joints, even telling a police officer that that was exactly what he had been doing all day.

Some are still against the legalization of Cannabis citing it could do more harm than good by allowing younger generations to be easily exposed to the substance, whereas others see it as an important step forward about being open when it comes to drug use.
