Rival Bones New Music
Raw Music Uncovered
RECENT years have delighted us with a diverse range of two-piece bands such as Royal Blood, The White Stripes, The Kills, and one of the greatest two-piece acts of all time, Death From Above 1979! All of which expel a very unique form of their own take on rock, and heavy rock within the scope of experimental music. You could easily assume that the musical diversity would be somewhat limited to a two-piece act and that it’s very unlikely we’ll see another dynamic duo hit the scene, however, Rival Bones may very well have shown us otherwise.
Comprised of just James Whitehouse and Chris Thomason, the Liverpudlian pair have been making quite a name for themselves. Firstly, unleashing their debut back in 2015 with the release of ‘You Know Who You Are’, receiving airplay from BBC Introducing, Planet Rock, Kerrang Radio, and Team Rock in the UK.
Followed up by ‘Robot Girl’ and ‘Lost Along the Way’ in 2016, Rival Bones began to establish themselves as one of the hottest rock bands to emerge from the North West in the last decade. In 2017, the band released their self-titled EP, signing soon after to Ayla Records and immediately headed off to represent the UK for Sound City at Zandari Festival in Seoul.
‘Hot Blooded’ is the latest offering from Rival Bones, and it’s darker, heavier, and echoes a slightly more sinister side to their musical talents. This is without a doubt the type of anthem that will have people moshing, stage diving, and throwing beers at each other in the midst of a frantic festival scene.
As we await their highly anticipated full-length debut album, Rival Bones are a band to keep an eye on in 2019.
