Shefield metal heads Bring Me The Horizon have today achieved a great thing, they’ve finally accomplished a number one album in the UK charts with their extremely innovative album, AMO. And this isn’t the rock charts, metal charts or alternative charts, this is the OFFICIAL UK ALBUM CHARTS!

To go from a group of teenagers playing death/hardcore music and being hated by everyone, to creating some of the most diverse metal music we’ve seen in a decade and landing a number one album in the UK’s official charts is absolutely outstanding.

They now join the ranks of Slipknot, Linkin Park, Metallica, and Avenged Sevenfold who have also had number one albums in the UK charts. Bring Me The Horizon came close to a number one with ‘THAT'S THE SPIRIT’ in 2015 which peaked at number two.

Amo has been the most controversial album Bring Me The Horizon have released causing a huge divide between their fans. Some saying they’ve sold out and gone pop, others saying it’s the greatest work they’ve released.

Whatever your stance on Bring Me The Horizon, one thing it certain, they’ve worked hard to get here and they deserve it.
