Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes recently opened up in an extensive interview with UK tabloid The Independent today about his previous marriage, and how he affected him as a person and as a musician.

“When you’re in a marriage you can’t leave just because you’re arguing all the time. But it does stuff to you that you don’t realise at first. It damages you, and you start thinking the worst of people”

It comes as no surprise to any BMTH fan that Oli is very vocal in his lyrics about his personal life, the pressure he feels and the difficult times he’s been through, but he says that it had to happen and he’s glad it did.

“She had this manager who was older than me, and the guy my ex had an affair with had been a bit older, I was petrified, which is stupid, but I had a bit of a breakdown where I was like, ‘please don’t do that to me’”
