There are now so many pro-tooled polished-off bands in today’s saturated music scene, finding that brand new sound can be a real pain in the ass. You literally have to bend over backwards to find that one shining diamond in the dirt.

If you’re looking for some fresh meat then come on over and sink your teeth into this throbbing 80s inspired offering from Royal Republic.

Sweden's four-man rock sensation can usually be found hanging around the seedy backdoor of a nightclub waiting to pound your local venue with their unique blend of high octane rock and roll mixed with 80s inspired sensual synths. Their lyrics can be a real mouthful.

It’s been far too long since we’ve experienced a truly impressive 7 inch from the 80s and it’s about time we all stretched our minds open and mentally fornicated with the idea of trying to all love Anna-leigh, the new single from Royal Republic.

The band have unleashed their latest song taken from their upcoming impressive 12 inch, ‘Club Majesty’, scheduled for release on May 31st.

They’ve managed to squeeze themselves into a pretty tight space for the new video, using the classic 1-1 ratio style format to really give Anna-Leigh the loving she deserves.

Anna-Leigh is an incredibly catchy number and will have you begging for more again and again. Donning shoulder padded pastel blazers, gold chains, slick back hair and fur coats, Royal Republic have some seriously impressive looking members.

ROYAL REPUBLIC don't believe in guilty pleasures - only pleasures, free of compromise. Since meeting at the Malmö Academy Of Music in 2007, they've become Sweden's most addictive rock'n'roll export; mixing riffy guitars, king-sized tunes and jet-packed beats with their own eclectic tastes and inimitable joie de vivre.
