Streaming is great for discovering new music, however, over 40K tracks are uploaded to Spotify every single day, not to mention new music videos on YouTube, so how on Earth are you supposed to find the best! There’s just so much new music out there it’s insane and it also means the music industry has never been so competitive, making it almost impossible for smaller brands to be discovered. Every week, we’ll be adding new bands and music to this list, personally selected by the 3 editors here at RawMusicTV. Expect to discover new Rock, Metal, Grunge, and even a bit of Thrash.
Throughout 2020, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the very best new Rock and Metal bands, and new Rock and Metal music over the course of the year, and bringing it straight to you! We know this is a little bit early, but if shops can start advertising Christmas decorations before Halloween, then we can sure as hell start promoting great new music for 2020, in 2019. We’ll be adding new music and bands to this list every week. Drop this page in your bookmarks or install the RawMusicTV mobile app to stay up to date (Add to Home Screen). On Desktop? MARISA AND THE MOTHS - Needy
For fans of Halestorm, Foo Fighters, Audioslave, MARISA AND THE MOTHS deliver a deeply personal sound, detailing Marisa’s struggles with anxiety and everyday sexism amongst other themes. The music is the perfect vehicle for Marisa’s voice, soulful and powerful, as well as Sophie's eye-popping guitar skills.
'Needy' follows the release of the bands two singles, 'Skin' and 'Slave', a hard-hitting introduction to MARISA AND THE MOTHS, a band who bring to mind the best hard rock and grunge bands of the 90s. Triple guitar duties are shared between frontwoman and vocalist Marisa Rodriguez, Chris Merton, and Sophie Lloyd.
H.E.A.T - RISE
H.E.A.T announced the release of a brand new album, titled “H.E.A.T II”, early next year. “H.E.A.T II” is the first album ever to be produced entirely by the band with Jona Tee and Dave Dalone as producers.
”This is how we would sound if we made a debut album 2019, hence the title".
BOMBUS - In The Shadows
Their latest record, “Vulture Culture” provides clear evidence that BOMBUS are exactly the band the world needs right now. Uplifting anthems, delivered with maximum passion and rendered in ear-blitzing multi-dimensional splendor, with endless giant riffs, incisive melodies and dynamic moments of darkness and light... all human life is here, and it’s heavy as Hell and utterly irresistible.
The Injester - APOPHENIA
If you suffer from Coulrophobia then their video really will haunt your sleep. APOPHENIA is the latest offering from these nightmarish characters. Apophenia, if you’re interested, is the tendency to mistakenly perceive connections and meaning between unrelated things. A term coined by psychiatrist Klaus Conrad in 1958, which he suggested was the first symptoms of schizophrenia. Revelling in influences from the likes of Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Faith No More and Mr Bungle, but sprinkling their fairground concoction with woozy Wurlitzer disorientation, the band’s sound is a metallic mix of horror, theatre and tales for all mankind.
Although the most ancient ‘clowns’ have been found in the Fifth dynasty of Egypt, around 2400 BC, The Injester are far more recent making their live debut at Hammerfest in 2019. The Injester have just released their debut singles, ‘APOPHENIA’ & ‘KNIFEBLOWER’ and are somewhat reminiscent of the eerie atmosphere generated by American Head Charge, but mixed with Slipknot style percussions, and Wednesday 13 solo vibes.
The band comments, ”Last but not least before Vulture Culture drops, we give you ‘In The Shadows‘. It had the working title ‘Big Bombus‘ because we thought it had a ‘Big Business‘-vibe to it with a pinch of Zeppelin’s ‘Immigrant Song‘. But in the end it's a Bombus-locomotive charging through the night!”
JINJER - Pit Of Consciousness
JINJER just released their newest modern metal milestone, Macro, on Friday, and there’s no stopping them now – their gripping third official video for the track “Pit Of Consciousness” is out today. The video, presented in full black and white, emphasizes the inner dissension pictured as the narrators “Pit of Consciousness” – lifted musically by a demanding rhythm between punishing riffs, Eugene’s distinctive base lines and Vlad’s intense drumming. Together with Tatiana’s impressive voice, the song pushes the genre to the next level.
LE BUTCHERETTES - TUNISIA
“Yet…another country not visited. There is another world outside our own. Realization that the universe is bigger than one can ever fathom. There is still so much to discover yet the more we learn, the less we know so instead of focusing too much on the rational maybe it’s okay to let go of all the rational and maybe just maybe accept that we are nothing at all unless we choose to become one with all,” says, Le Butcherettes frontwoman, Teresa Suárez Cosío (Teri Gender Bender) about the new single.
DON’T BLEED is a delicate relationship of a woman having a dialogue with GOD, translating to BE STRONG. The storytelling of Teri Gender Bender in this new EP brings, “a powerful double meaning of being told not to bleed as a woman and feeling shame of blossoming, so with time we are manipulated to hide in the darkness and our blood calls out to the forest creatures pulling them in closer to us for the hunt, even if we hide we are exposed," says, Teri Gender Bender.
GRAVVES - Jaws
Hailing from the North Wales border, the weird and wonderful GRAVVES are a known name in the UK’s underground punk and alternative scene. Since the release of their ‘OH, THE JOY’ EP, a combination of relentless touring, including slots at Sound City Festival, Wrong Festival and Focus Wales, and airplay from BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio Wales, Amazing Radio and Kerrang! Radio has seen them amass a fan base up and down the UK.
GRAVVES explained: "Jaws is a peak into Adam's (bass/vocals) head. It has all sorts of themes which the lyrics hint at. 'I'll be Brody, you be Jaws' is about people who think they're bigger and better than other people - plenty of which we've met since being in a band - but who everybody else views in a different way."
