Since their inception in the mid-90s, Rammstein have constantly strived to create art, not specifically music, but art. Their goal was always to become a creative force that served as an outlet for their artistic expression. The music is simply a by-product of what should be seen as an artistic concept, not just a band, not just an album, not just a music video. Rammstein injects so much passion into every aspect of what they do, something you’ll be well aware of if you’ve ever seen them live. Many people describe watching Rammstein live as “an experience”, almost religious. Their music is revered worldwide and the band are quite frankly unstoppable and untouchable. They have achieved the type of artistic status that almost every musician yearns to feel. Yet most can only dream of being elevated to this level of worship.

Whilst this is great for Rammstein, there is an enormous aspect of this group that goes largely unnoticed. It’s an aspect of the band that, within the context of Rammstein, is just seen as part of the bigger picture. This is most likely because Rammstein sees every member as an equal so the spotlight is never focused on one person over another. However, it stands out like a giant foam spluttering dildo in a sweaty crowd. Till Lindemann. More specifically, his wardrobe and style. It’s quick frankly outstanding and needs to be given the appreciation it deserves.

Short of Marilyn Manson, there are few artists that can pull off such dynamic outfits and combinations, especially when it comes to abstract fashion concepts. Lindemann nails it on and off stage. Combining steampunk industrialism with abstract war-themed attire on stage, and slick modern gentlemen off stage, Till Lindemann presents himself as an absolute style icon. Not many people can pull off a suit with combat boots.

We’ve handpicked some of Till Lindemann’s most audacious & stylish outfits. Behold.
