It’s important to remember that whilst COVID-19 can be fatal to some, the vast majority of those infected will make a full recovery and most will only experience mild symptoms. The worrying aspect of this virus is its impact on those with compromised immune systems and the elderly. This is why it’s important to not spread this virus and take important steps to ensure it’s containment.

SOCIAL DISTANCING IS THE MINIMUM. STAY HOME.
- Paul Stanley

Paul Stanely, founding member of KISS, took to social media to urge people to stay indoors, whilst reminding people of the deadly impact this could have on the world’s health services.

“PLEASE. It may seem surreal. It may seem inconceivable. We are about to see illness, deaths and an overwhelmed hospital system never seen in our lifetime. Businesses are closing. This is NOT an opportunity for get-togethers or parties. SOCIAL DISTANCING IS THE MINIMUM. STAY HOME.”

Unfortunately, people are panic buying supplies and mass hysteria has gripped the globe. Whilst this virus could present devastating implications to millions, if you’re sensible then there’s no reason life cannot go on as normal, to a degree. What makes this virus more deadly than the flu or common cold is there is no vaccine and those with compromised immune systems have an extremely low chance of being able to fight off the virus with their own immune system.

It’s important to limit the risk of infection as many people in the United States will not be able to afford health care, and the NHS in the UK simply cannot cope with a huge spike in patients, especially considering it’s already drastically underfunded.
